1). Collegiate Shag AND Balboa Showcase Competition - $20.00/team entry fee - registration required.
All performers must have a Full Weekend Pass.
Prepare a routine to a song of your choice and dance as a couple or as a team in order to celebrate diverse dancers and communities. Your routine must include BOTH Collegiate Shag and Balboa.
Be creative, have fun, and prepare to be inspired!
2). Collegiate Shag Jack & Jill - $10.00 entry fee - registration required.
Also affectionately called the "Couple Shuffle," leaders and followers will be paired at random in a fun competition focused on social dancing.
3). Collegiate Shag Fast Feet Competition - No entry fee - no registration required.
It's a sweaty battle to the finish. Grab a partner and test your endurance to insanely fast music. The last couple dancing to tempo, and with whatever sweet skills they can muster, wins.
4). The "Million Buck" Award -
You be the judge: Which lead/follow made you feel like a "million bucks" at Inland Empire Shuffle?
We don't care about their skill level or their fancy feet in this competition. We want to acknowledge individuals who are kind, friendly, and encouraging both in the class room and on the dance floor.
The only rule is that you don't vote for someone from your home dance scene.
Inland Empire Shuffle will feature several fun-spirited "competitions" over the course of the weekend.
